Treasury Management

Welcome
Dave GreenThe Treasury Management Office is responsible for the management of the University’s financial resources. This includes investment of cash and the administration of debt to ensure resources are available to meet the operating and capital needs of the University. We work in partnership with the University’s banking partners to deliver treasury features, such as credit card processing and lockbox services, to enhance departmental capabilities throughout GW. The office also manages gifts to the endowment and other donor-related split income funds. In coordination with the Development Office, we have the distinguished pleasure of interacting with the University’s many generous benefactors. Announcements
On June 29th, the University completed a $138 Million bond issuance. $88 Million was used to pay off existing debt, which will result in present value savings of approximately $5 Million over the next 10 years. The remaining $50 Million will be used to strengthen the University’s liquidity position. The volatility in the capital markets provided this excellent opportunity for GW, as investors are flocking to quality institutions with their money.   A special thanks to those who provided assistance from BMAG, Comptroller’s Office, OGC, Institutional Research and many others.

Congratulations to the University Comptroller’s Office on a successful year-end financial audit! Despite challenges posed by changing regulations and a substantial increase in reporting requirements, the audit went exceptionally well. Published results for the year ended June 30, 2010 will be available soon.
